Overview
Hero ID lets shoppers prove they belong to a community — active military, veterans, first responders, students, and more — and rewards them with a discount that applies automatically through checkout.
How verification works
Section titled “How verification works”- A shopper opens a page with the Hero ID widget (your product page, a landing page, or anywhere you place it).
- They submit a photo of their ID or badge. Hero ID checks it and approves eligible customers in seconds.
- The approved discount is written to the cart and persists through checkout — no discount code to copy or apply.
Merchants manage everything from the Shopify admin: which groups qualify, the discount each group receives, and a review queue of every claim.
Choosing an install method
Section titled “Choosing an install method”There are two ways to add the widget. Pick based on your theme:
